Judith S. Parnes, L.C.S.W., C.M.C., Executive Director of Elder Life Management, Inc. will lead a panel discussion on the topic of Guardianship at the National Association of Social Workers-New Jersey Chapter's Annual Conference on April 23, 2006. This program will be held at the Hilton East Brunswick from April 23 - 25, 2006. Other panelists are The Honorable Alexander D. Lehrer, J.S.C. from the Superior Court of Monmouth County; Rabbi Ephraim Karp, MSW, Community Chaplain of the Jewish Federation of Greater Monmouth County and Mark Pass, M.D., Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine.

Ms. Parnes is a nationally recognized gerontologist holding advanced graduate degrees, certification and coursework in social work, aging and public health. Since 1987 Elder Life Management has been assisting elderly individuals and their families with issues of elder care planning and management such as financing the cost of long term care, assisting in applying for government and community programs, coordinating a move to alternative living arrangements, as well as post-hospital discharge planning. Individual and family counseling, clinical problem-solving groups, and community education and training are also offered.
